Bengals Lose TE For The Season
The injury that starting TE Reggie Kelly suffered earlier has resulted in a ruptured Achilles tendon. Kelly will miss the entire 2009 season as a result.
Ben Utecht becomes the likely starter in Kelly's place. Utecht was considered a fantasy sleeper before last season after leaving Indianapolis for Cincinnat as a free agent last summer. Utecht is very capable and should post solid numbers as long as Carson Palmer is the starting QB for the Bengals. I would consider Utecht a mid level backup TE right now with some decent upside.
