Remember The Name: Devin Thomas

I really liked what I saw out of WR Devin Thomas last season. There were times in which he was the best playmaker on the practice field for the Redskins. Then there were the two big touchdown catches he made in back to back weeks, both of which were called back because of penalties against the Skins. This is really why it pays to actually watch the games each and every week or at least get your fantasy advice from people who do. Like..us for instance!

Redskins coaches are gushing about Thomas already, just 3 days into training camp. Head coach Jim Zorn says that Thomas looks more "seasoned" and is finally starting to "get it" as he enters his second season in the NFL.

Jason Campbell took time out on the first day of camp to acknowledge how much progress that Devin Thomas has made in just one years time. He even went on to say that people are going to be, "Surprised...real surprised" at the development the young WR has made.

This is a player that I believe will have a breakout season for what will turn out to be a pretty below average offensive team overall. I would definitely take Devin Thomas over either Santana Moss or Antwaan Randle-El in drafts this year. Thomas has a great blend of size and speed and has great body control too that allows him to go get to balls thrown his way. He needs to catch the ball with his hands a bit better but he is without a doubt a big play receiver. Keep him in mind when you are looking for sleeper WR's in the mid to late rounds of your drafts this year.
