PATRIOTS SOUR ON LEMON

Just two days after having a deal in place for Cleo Lemon, the Pats turn to former Oakland QB Andrew Walter and sign him to a 1 year deal. Walter will come in to compete for the QB3 job that is now vacant after the release of Matt Gutierrez. Not sure what happened for them to change their minds on Cleo Lemon as he seems like a better fit for the team than Walter.


EAGLES SIGN MACLIN

The Eagles have just made it official that they have agreed to a 5 year $9.5 million deal with first round pick Jeremy Maclin. It is believed that Maclin will be in camp tonight and be out on the practice field tomorrow with his teammates.


JAMES DAVIS IMPRESSING

Rookie RB James Davis has been treating the onlookers of Browns training camp to a dazzling display of quick feet and break tackle ability so far. I really believe that Jamal Lewis could be a cap casualty this year as both Jerome Harrison and James Davis are bigger weapons at the position. Lewis hasn't been the same kind of player he was while rushing for 2000 yards in a season for the Ravens. I wouldn't be surprised if either Harrison or Davis take off this season and become an out of nowhere fantasy star.


DID YOU REMEMBER THAT NAME?

A few days ago I told all of you to remember the name Davin Thomas, WR for the Washington Redskins. Well as it turns out the Redskins are so excited about his performance so far that they have already named him the starter opposite Santana Moss in week 1. I love the kid and believe this will be the year that everybody gets introduced to the electric young receiver. If he can stay healthy he's got a shot at being a legitimate fantasy receiver this season.
