Tarvaris Jackson Suffers Knee Injury
The first big injury of the summer came this morning when Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson went down with an injury to his knee. Apparently, Leroy Guion ran through a red shirted Jackson in the heat of the moment during a early morning scrimmage today.
Jackson received an immediate MRI which has given us preliminary results of a sprained MCL. They are calling it a grade I sprain which is the only good news here. I must warn you all that before thinking that this is no big deal, the most misdiagnosed injury by NFL doctors is an MCL sprain. It is very difficult to gauge this type of sprain early on so either the team is being very precautious by even calling it an MCL sprain or there may be worse news down the road. We'll have to wait and see how long it takes for Jackson to get back onto the practice field to determine which was true.
