Browns Lose Starting RG

Rex Hadnot, the presumed starting RG for the Cleveland Browns was carted off the practice field moments ago after sustaining a left knee injury. The injury happened as rookie LB David Veikune jumped to deflect a pass and came down and rolled up on Hadnot's left leg. Hadnot bellowed in pain and immediately fell to the ground where trainers, coaches and teammates gathered around him. He was helped onto the cart and in currently on his was for further medical evaluation. It doesn't look good.

One of the Browns few strengths this season was to be the offensive line and losing Hadnot would be a blow for sure. It certainly appears that he will miss a lot of time if not the entire 2009 season. Ryan Tucker, an injury liability himself could wind up becoming the starter at RG or the team could go with one of two veterans on the squad in Pork Chop Womack or former Eagles Center Hank Fraley.
