Crabtree Is Full Of &#!%

We all have a stupid cousin or uncle or nephew or something right? Well, so does Michael Crabtree. His cousin and "advisor" David Wells (no, not THAT David Wells!) has come out today and announced that Crabtree is prepared to sit out the entire 2009 season and then re-enter the NFL Draft in 2010. Hardball you say? No way.

The notion that Crabtree would sit out an entire season is absolutely ridiculous and let me be the first to say that there is positively no way that he does this. I have it on high that this is not even an actual thought by anybody in the Crabtree camp other than his stupid cousin. If he did sit out the season there is a zero percent chance that he is taken in the first round again next year, therefore forfeiting tens of millions of dollars. Considering he is seeking more money in his first contract, not playing this season would be career suicide.

I could go on and on about service time and playing time and all of that but none of it really matters to you the loyal fantasy football fan. All you need to know is that Crabtree will eventually sign with the 49ers and play football this season. When that is going to be I have no idea and the more time he misses the less chance he has to make an impact this year. That is just the way the NFL works. But he isn't going to sit out the whole year, that is a guarantee.
