Shaun Hill Is The 49ers Starting QB

Head coach Mike Singletary has officially named Shaun Hill the 49ers starting QB come week 1 of the regular season. This decision was no doubt made easier due to Alex Smith's sprained thumb suffered in last weeks preseason game. Hill has clearly outperformed the former #1 pick and should provide the Niners with a stable presence all season long.

Hills's fantasy value should not at all be based on last years inflated stats because that was a result of Mike Martz high flying passing attack. The 49ers will be a run the ball team focused on gaining positive yards, taking time off the clock and not making mistakes. I would advise Hill at nothing more than a mid level QB2 usable during bye weeks this season.
