Michael Vick's Suspension Cut Down

Commissioner Roger Goodell revoked a good chunk of Michael Vick's 6 game suspension and set it at just 2 regular season games. This means Vick will have a full reinstatement as of week 3 of the regular season.

The commissioner met today with Vick as well and Eagles head coach Andy Reid and Vick's mentor Tony Dungy to discuss the progress that Vick has made in getting both his personal and his football life back in order.

Vick has been decent in two preseason appearances so far though it does seem like he has lost a step, which still makes him one of the faster players in the NFL. He will start out as the #3 QB for the Eagles but there is a good chance that if Donovan McNabb suffers a long term injury this season, Vick may be the full time replacement.

It is now OK to actually draft Vick, though I would only do so as a handcuff for McNabb and even in that context I would probably not waste the pick.
