Matt Bryant Loses Tampa Kicking Job

Matt Bryant has pretty much self destructed in the final week of Tampa's placekicker derby. Bryant has been dealing with hamstring issues ever since falling behind Mike Nugent a couple of weeks ago. Over the weekend head coach Raheem Morris informed Bryant that if he didn't kick this week he would lose his job because the team needs to move on in preparation for the season. It was expected that Bryant would participate on Monday but he did not. Instead, he has opted to sit it out and risk his job in order to prepare his hamstring for what he hopes will be a job down the line.

Mike Nugent is a very solid sleeper candidate this season as the Bucs will struggle to punch the ball in the endzone and Nugent has historically good accuracy. Not to mention the warm weather will help him a bunch too.
