Packers Won't Sign Michael Vick

I just got off the phone with my friend who works in the Packers front office and in close proximity to GM Ted Thompson. He swears to me that there is a zero percent chance of the Packers signing Michael Vick. He says that Thompson's "not ruling it out" is part of a team priority of not commenting either way on players they may or may not be interested in.

Thompson wants all team personnel to follow his lead in not giving public indication about Green Bay Packers interests under any circumstances. Behind close doors though there is a totally different vibe about Vick. It is true there was some contact with his agent but that was over a week ago and not considered serious whatsoever.

I remain steadfast that Vick lands with either the Jacksonville Jaguars or possibly the Carolina Panthers. Tampa Bay makes perfect sense but the Glazers have already had enough heat from animal rights groups and don't seem interested in incurring any more.
