Bulger Injures Hand
Just got an update from Rams camp where Marc Bulger is no longer participating after injuring his right hand. Evidently the Rams were practicing in doors due to rain in the area this morning when Bulger suffered the injury taking a snap from center.
Bulger came out for the afternoon session, which was outside this time but he is not throwing or participating. His hand is currently taped and the word around campus is that he will be taken in for X-rays this evening. Stay tuned...
***UPDATE***
Bulger has indeed had X-rays on his injured right hand and has been diagnosed with a small fracture in his pinkie finger. Although he should be fine, he will miss up to 2 weeks of practice and the next 2 preseason games.
The fracture doesn't need a cast, but will require him to tape it up for the foreseeable future and will not be able to grip or throw a ball for up to 2 weeks.
Kyle Boller takes over for the short term and will lead the first team offense for awhile. This is a great opportunity for Boller. I really like him here in St. Louis as the kid is pretty darn talented and just never got a break in Baltimore. I honestly believe his is a better pure QB than Marc Bulger and that may be seen by the coaching staff very soon. Keep a close eye on how Boller is progressing in practices and in the next couple preseason games.
