Braylon Edwards Leaves Practice
The Braylon Edwards on again/off again foot injury has reared it's ugly head again as Edwards left the practice field yesterday after aggravating his foot during one on one drills. He was able to walk off the field fine and was seen point to his feet as the training staff attended to him. He spent the remainder of the practice riding a stationary bike.
Head coach Eric Mangini is running a pretty tough camp and we have really come to find out how soft this Browns team had become under Romeo Crennel. Mangini is pushing the 'tough guy' image a tad much but I can understand his point clearly. Many coaches would let their start WR just sit out the day and tend to the injury rather than put him on a stationary bike and have him spin some laps. But when you have a anemic soft squad like this, conditioning is really a big factor and Mangini is pushing them rather hard and making no friends along the way. The obvious hope is that the Browns start winning games later in the season by beating better but less conditioned opponents. This will allow the players to then 'buy in' to the Man-genius way going forward.
Edwards should be fine as this is just probably a flare up of his previous foot injury that kept him from the first week of camp. We'll post updates as we find out more information.
