Another Denver WR To Watch

The other day I told you about Josh McDaniels comments about Eddie Royal surpassing the numbers of Wes Welker in his offense. Today I got word that another Broncos WR is making waves and starting to come into his own and that is Jabar Gaffney.

You may remember that Gaffney played for McDaniels in New England and did quite well in spurts in this same offense. With Brandon Marshall still not practicing, Gaffney has received plenty of first team snaps and is running pristine routes and catching everything intended for him.

I can't help but wonder if it will indeed be Gaffney who breaks out this season and not Eddie Royal? Royal is talented for sure and everybody is raving about him and expects him to be the Wes Welker of this offense. Well, I am starting to believe that Gaffney will wind up being the beneficiary of the new system here in Denver and the missed time of Brandon Marshall.

Gaffney is surely available in the later rounds of most fantasy drafts. I think in a PPR league, he is a perfect deep sleeper because he has a great chance to really be the Wes Welker of Denver. He knows the system, knows where to be at all times and is shifty and nimble enough to make the tough catches in traffic. Keep him on your radar my friends.
